Hi, I’m Doug
Photographer and founder of Reverie, where I shoot confidence-boosting boudoir sessions for women, men, and couples who want photos that feel real, powerful, and unapologetically them.
I live in the greener bits of south east London, and I’ve been shooting for over 30 years. When I’m not photographing boudoir sessions, I’m usually somewhere in Europe or Asia with a camera in hand, chasing street scenes or jaw-dropping landscapes. My other love is surfing, but not so much in the UK... I like my toes frostbite-free!
Why I shoot boudoir
Because helping people feel better about themselves is way more exciting than just taking nice pictures.
I love working with people who’ve spent too long battling self-doubt. The ones who say things like, “I’m not photogenic” or “I don’t think I could ever do a shoot like that.” Helping someone go from nervous wreck to holy sht, that’s me?* is honestly the best part of the job.
This isn’t about “looking sexy” for someone else. It’s about showing up for yourself—and maybe seeing yourself differently, in a good way.
My approach
We’re not here to fake it. My job is to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to drop the performance and just be you. That’s when the good stuff happens—the real, unscripted moments that feel powerful because they’re real.
I’ll guide you through everything, help you find your rhythm, and we’ll create portraits that feel like an honest celebration of who you are. Whether that’s fierce, soft, silly, bold—or a chaotic mix of all of it—you get to decide.
